Inevitable Judgement is a notable Ascendancy passive skill for the Inquisitor that grants elemental damage penetration on a non-critical strike or causes hits to ignore the enemy's elemental resistances on critical strike.

Mechanics

With Inevitable Judgment, a critical strike ignores the concept of elemental resistance altogether.[1] In practice, it is equal to overriding an enemy's elemental resistance to be set to 0%, after every other resistance-modifying effects.

As a result, any elemental resistance reduction and penetration modifiers will also be ignored as well, even if an enemy's resistance would be equal to less than 0% otherwise.

Inevitable Judgement does not penetrate or ignore player's resistances on reflect.[2]
