Inconsistent?

I don't like how this page looks, it's very inconsistent with the other pages. The Portal Scrolls are just another type of currency with a special function and the Portal gem is just another skill gem. But there also needs to be a place where the mechanics are explained.

I think Portal should be used as a skill gem page and formatted as such. Portal mechanics can go under "Skill Functions and Interactions". A note can be added to the top of the page saying "This page is about the skill gem Portal, if you were looking for the currency item Portal Scroll [link] bla bla.".

I agree completely actually. Originally, this page was intended for just for the gem. That's why its called Portal and not Town Portal. As you can see, someone changed that. The disambiguation link is a good idea and I'm all for it. Portal also needs to be added to the list of Skill Gems as the categorization conveniently leaves out 'other' skill gems.--FaceLicker (talk) 17:21, 26 February 2013 (UTC)

I switched the page over to the Skill Gem format as discussed above ^. I tried to keep the information User:Kalabala provided intact as it is useful. I don't normally do any work on Skill pages though so if someone wants to clean it up a bit please do so.--FaceLicker (talk) 13:59, 21 March 2013 (UTC)

I want to edit the table for the portal gem but I don't know how to. If you use a Vaal Orb on it, there is a chance for it to gain an additional level. It becomes level 2 (max) and has NO level requirement.
