Pictures

I put the pictures in here for now and was wondering if someone else could place them better, I'm not that good with this kind of stuff :(, also the strategy could probably be expanded on.

Resists

From my testing it seems that she has about 120% cold resistance. Used Frostbite + Elemental Weakness + Freeze Mine to lower her cold resist by 119%, which eliminated the "resists all elements" on her display, changing it to "resists fire" and "resists lightning". From this I think we may be able to assume she also has 120% fire/lightning resist, although testing it would be nice. Someone with lvl 3 empower, +2/+1 gems, and 20/20 dual curses can get 118% reduction to test it out. Alternatively one could use Elemental Equilibrium. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Olop4444 (talkcontribs)

Merciless Piety has 45 to all resists (elem and chaos). But she also has an implicit "reduced curse effect" modifier that decreases your debuffs by 70%. The math is:
  • Debuff applied by Freeze Mine = 15% (not a curse, so unaffected by Piety's implicit mod)
  • Debuff applied by each curse = (52% * 0.3) = 15.xxx% (rounded down to 15)
The total is exactly 45, hence the "resist cold" disappearing. You would need to reach a 54% base debuff from the curses if you want to see her "Vulnerable to Cold". Good luck with that ;) Chriskang (talk) 22:57, 9 December 2013 (UTC)

Ah, I forgot about that. Thanks for correcting my math. Olop4444 (talk)

"Immune to damage"

I have just a small issue with this line of text under the "First Encounter" header: "When Piety's health drops to half she becomes immune to damage and retreats to a portal, leaving you victorious."

Piety, in fact, does not become "immune to damage"; rather, she cannot be killed. You can reduce Piety's health to 0 before she teleports away and she'll still live.

Seperate pages for her encounters

I was thinking we should probably create seperate pages for each Piety encounter. There are three right now (four if you count the one in the Harvest). Biggest reason is the monster infobox, it can only display levels and abilities for one of them. Another option is to use the template multiple times on this page, one for each encounter. What do you guys think? --Climmels aka SirProblematique (talk) 00:48, 15 July 2015 (UTC)

Yes, definitely! The piety fights are quite different even if the first two have a couple of spells in common. And the crematorium area page has always linked to a page mostly talking about what was originally an act boss fight. It also might make it easier to avoid plot spoilers and confusion for newer players. What do we call them though? Maybe one Piety page that talks about the lopre/background and links to the 4 monster pages, then others named after the areas like "Piety (Crematorium)"? --Qetuth-(talk) 08:30, 15 July 2015 (UTC)
