User:Spud mentioned to me on Reddit that the image for Shavronne's Wrappings is causing horizontal scroll bars to appear for certain people. Is there any way we could force images to a certain size on these index pages? Iamacyborg (talk) 13:55, 16 March 2013 (UTC)

That's funny, I was just about to make a post about the larger images. Other than uploading a smaller resolution file, I don't know how to make the template force a smaller pixel size. The standard width for most images is 47px for rings, amulets, flasks, daggers, and other various items that have a width of '1' in game. Items that have a width of '2' ingame should be 94px. I started uploading the higher res images for new uniques straight from the .ggpk file thinking I could scale them on the wiki, but AnnanFay's Template:NewItem doesn't allow for that at the moment. If we can't get the template to scale the images, then we'll just have to upload smaller resolution images with the appropriate pixel width. --FaceLicker (talk) 14:03, 16 March 2013 (UTC)
We should be able to scale down images using wiki syntax. I'm going to try a few things and revert my edits if things start to break. Iamacyborg (talk) 14:18, 16 March 2013 (UTC)
I went ahead and uploaded new smaller res versions for all the high res images I had previously uploaded. However.. the high res images are still displaying. Even if I purge the image file, and purge the pages on which the image is linked, and Ctrl + F5 my browser, I still see the old images. --FaceLicker (talk) 14:27, 16 March 2013 (UTC)
That's probably the caching messing things up. I have found a way to resize the images on the armour page with a template edit. We're going to need to add a few more variants to this template though to ensure all pages display properly. For example I've forced rings to be 47px, but that's also forcing other things to 47px that don't need to be. I think this is the best solution and ensures we can display the high res images on the individual item pages. Iamacyborg (talk) 14:37, 16 March 2013 (UTC)
Forcing jewellery and armor items to a specific size works fine because all items are always the same width. The problem we'll have occurs with 1h maces, axes, and swords. Some items are 47px some are 94px, it all depends on the item. Though, I suppose we could just resize high res images as a percentage instead of a fixed pixel width. Assuming we had high res images for every item a width of about 60% should work perfectly.--FaceLicker (talk) 14:49, 16 March 2013 (UTC)

──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── I'll have a look at this. I think it would be best if the original high resolution images are uploaded. It's easy to decrease image size. -AnnanFay (talk) 00:05, 17 March 2013 (UTC)

I've rolled back the changes to [1] so I can do tests with it. I'm currently waiting for the image to be moved from pool onto en, or whatever happens when we update images.-AnnanFay (talk) 02:55, 19 March 2013 (UTC)
What about this: Extension:ImageSizeInfoFunctions? It seems like exactly what we need. Is it doable? --FaceLicker (talk) 08:51, 19 March 2013 (UTC)
This is a great example of the template being put to use. The 'Eland.png' image is originally 642x402 in size and is wonderfully scaled to 15% at 96x60.--FaceLicker (talk) 09:00, 19 March 2013 (UTC)
The normal way of including images can scale them. It just needs to be told the correct dimensions to scale it to. I've created Template:ItemSize which returns the correct size of an item given some stat information. With this it's possible to correctly display all items with the same size as the character viewer on pathofexile.com. Or, if we want to we can decide on our own sizes. Though I think keeping them inline with the official character-viewer sizes is a good idea.
I'm still waiting for the images to update so I can properly test it -_- -AnnanFay (talk) 16:33, 19 March 2013 (UTC)
The images in the short and icon views should now be the right size. -AnnanFay (talk) 16:42, 22 March 2013 (UTC)

Missing tables for some armour types

The tables for the single type body armours seem to have disappeared on my end, and even switching browsers doesn't seem to fix the issue. The coding, as best I can tell, is solid and should work. Looking at previous versions also omits all of the mono type body armours. Can anyone else confirm this is happening for them, and if it is are there any ideas on what's causing it and how to fix it? —Domo (talk) 05:00, 6 September 2016 (UTC)
