Itemlevel

The Item level or ilvl of an item is a hidden stat that represents it's crafting potential.

The first is that you can hold alt (or whatever highlight key) while hovering an item in the trade screen to see its item level. If you own the item, you can click on it and drag (but don't drop) and type /itemlevel into chat to see it's item level.
