: It used to be guaranteed. Now there's no guaranteed large chests. According to the patch notes all dungeon Areas except Dread Thicket and Catacombs have an equal chance of spawning a Large Chest, so the list is probably meaningless. On the other hand the patch notes also say that the chest in Dread Thicket is guaranteed, which is incorrect.
