Regarding legacy variants and 3.11.0 changes

The changes in 3.11.0 which replaced many of the individual modifiers on Soul Tether with Immortal Ambition are a legacy-altering change, which means there is not a pre-3.11.0 legacy variant of Soul Tether. While it is technically true that Soul Tethers that dropped before 3.11.0 have a different set of mods than the current version, those mods have been altered so that both are functionally identical and are also indistinguishable from a player's perspective. There's no way to tell in Standard league whether a Soul Tether is a pre-3.11.0 drop or a post-3.11.0 drop because they are identical to the player. Therefore, I'm not sure this is even worth mentioning in the article. —Vini (t|c) 04:12, 9 September 2020 (UTC)

I think they behave somewhat differently in official trade site. Neokowloon (talk) 06:34, 9 September 2020 (UTC)
Niightblade(t): It should be "It affects all versions." too.
Can you elaborate? I'm not able to discern any difference. —Vini (t|c) 06:44, 9 September 2020 (UTC)
You can still locate the legacy one with the item filter in official trade site. https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Standard/9dVjymQTK Probably the filter trace the mod id instead of stat id. Neokowloon (talk) 07:07, 9 September 2020 (UTC)
Interesting. Still, I'm not sure it's worth noting in the article. Does anyone else disagree? Also, if a legacy variant is indistinguishable in-game from the current variant, it's not really a legacy variant as far as I'm concerned. They both have the same stat text. They both function the same. For all practical purposes they are the same. —Vini (t|c) 07:21, 9 September 2020 (UTC)
