Cut-throat was a game mode where players could join other player's instances and kill them for their equipment and experience.
Mechanics
By using Ctrl+Click at waypoints and doorways, you can join the instance of another player and attack them outside of towns as friendly fire is always enabled. Slain players grant experience and drop all of their equipment (including inventory), except flasks, gems and quest items, when they die. Players outside of party are only revealed on the map when they are close by and there are no notifications when other players join.[1]
Hardcore mode is not enabled.
