Defeating it is part of the quest Sharp and Cruel, as it drops the quest item Maligaro's Spike.

Strategy
The Weaver deals heavy chaos damage, so a decent amount of chaos resistance is a must. The player can use an Amethyst Flask if he doesn't have sufficient chaos resistance. She has Viper Strike for single target DoT and Ethereal Knives as an AoE attack. She can also summon small spiderlings that fight beside her and use her web to lift herself up to the ceiling, disappearing for a moment. The small spiderlings often stay alive even after the Weaver is dead, along with the larger, magic spiders, whose corpses can explode. The boss also applies

The best strategy is to keep using AoEs since she keeps spawning adds, amount increasing with difficulty, which will hinder the player to attack her. The AoE must be aimed against her, since she has a fast regenerating Energy shield. To prevent being trapped by her (If she can't be tanked constantly) a jump skill is recommended.
