Warstaves (plural) or Warstaff (singular) is an item class of two-handed melee weapons that require strength and intelligence and usually have a x% Chance to Block Attack Damage while wielding a Staff implicit modifier as well as a moderately high base critical strike chance. This item class can not roll spell related ones. Note that certain Delve node may still generate the Delve drop-only spell damage mod on this item class.

Warstaves is considered as staves in terms of item mod effect, such as Warstaves' implicit #% Chance to Block Attack/Spell Damage while wielding a Staff

The staff is displayed in-game as "Warstaff". However, the clipboard text by using in-game Control + C function returns "Warstaves" as item class. Warstaves is also used in terms of item filter.[1]
