Niightblade(t) — Hi! Could you please remember to provide a summary when editing pages? It makes it heaps easier to work out what's been changed. Thanks.

_____________

You added a "citation needed" to the Atlas of Worlds page where I wrote that the game will always spawn a Conqueror in a region that still needs to drop the Watchstone, if that Conqueror is still available to spawn. That is how the system has worked for me at all times now, you an try that for yourself. What would a citation be? A "before and after"-screenshot of a region that has a certain Watchstone unobtained and then spawns the respective influence? --DoomBee (talk) 03:40, 29 December 2019 (UTC)

DoomBee, I had spawned a Conqueror that i have acquired the Watchstone already in that region and the other Conquerors haven't had another other restriction to spawn . I am afraid may be there is no "priority" to spawn which Conqueror . Neokowloon (talk) 11:22, 30 December 2019 (UTC)
I have never encountered this during my Atlas progression. When a wrong Conqueror spawned for me it could be explained by the influence already being taken or used up. Remember that every Conqueror can only spawn ONCE after each Sirius fight. I have before-after screenshots from my last spawns. And it's been reliable every time. I could even predict that an area that was missing the blue and yellow Watchstones would spawn the blue influence because I locked the yellow influence to a region that was only missing the yellow Watchstone. I find it hard to believe that I was just lucky so many times, especially since I am deliberately doing it. There is also always the possibility of a freak incident, a bug. The new Atlas still has some issues.--DoomBee (talk) 14:33, 30 December 2019 (UTC)

A little mess

Hello can you help me pls? I did a little mess with Defiled_in_the_Sceptre, picture result in a wrong position and i'm unable to fix it. tyvm --PsyCat Online (talk) 12:53, 24 January 2020 (UTC)

Eye of Mallice: "it did not calculated that way"

Can you please elaborate a bit on that? Iam very confused as to what i`ve missunderstood about the mechanic. Thanks —Preceding unsigned comment added by 13tayler13 (talkcontribs) 20:05, 28 February 2020

Please provide citation that GGG confirmed that "increased" ele res work with negative enemy resistance in your alleged way. Instead of you own speculation or rely on unofficial software like POB. Neokowloon (talk) 21:38, 28 February 2020 (UTC)
Also, even it is true, since 3.9 GGG buffed enemy resistance , are there any practical use and worth to mention as "benefit"? LV 24 Combustion SupportCombustion SupportFire, Support

I have reviewed your edit, 13tayler13. I think the issue is that your explanation is somewhat misleading. Nearby Enemies have 50% increased Fire and Cold Resistances applies +50% to nearby enemies' fire and cold resistances, so you also have to take into account their other additive modifiers to fire and cold resistances. If you wish to discuss this further, please do so on Talk:Eye of Malice. —Vini (t|c) 00:13, 29 February 2020 (UTC)

Version history

Was wondering if you knew how the the version history template works and why its not updating the Version history article with the 3.10.0 articles. --Kwwhit55531 (talk) 20:31, 26 March 2020 (UTC)

It is written in query. I am not a programmer but usually copy code from working section will usually work. It seem there is a limit on how many query so that you need to add parameter to lift the limit. And i have no idea on sorting either. Lastly, 3.10 is not considered as big expansion .Neokowloon (talk) 22:20, 26 March 2020 (UTC)
While agree that the delirium challenge league itself is not a major version that section seems to list major version series (3.7,3.8, etc) and then more minor version series (3.8.1,3.8.2, etc) in their own sections. The reason I linked the delirium challenge is simply for the convenience of the reader so he can see the challenge league that was released alongside the major version. I was actually following the format that was already on the page and if you look at your revert you'll see that 3.5.0 is linked along with its accompanying challenge league (betrayal). Personally I would consider 3.X versions to be major versions while 3.X.X versions would be the minor versions and this seems to be how GGG sees versioning. Thanks --Kwwhit55531 (talk) 22:32, 26 March 2020 (UTC)
Fixed the problem of 3.10 versions not showing in version history. I left your reverts in place though. --Kwwhit55531 (talk) 22:41, 26 March 2020 (UTC)
Note that 3.10 already in the page, just in-between 3.1 and 3.2 Neokowloon (talk) 23:03, 26 March 2020 (UTC)
So thats what was going on, I was getting alerts on my watchlist when you were adding the new version today for the page but I assumed it was being hidden under the current parameters, instead of a wraparound error. By the way this page needs to be renamed or deleted in order show up on this page but I'm not sure how to do that on gamepedia. I was fixing Special:DeadendPages and came across it. --Kwwhit55531 (talk) 23:29, 26 March 2020 (UTC)

──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── That page rather need admin or template writer attention. It suppose to list the values from Passive Skill:Shield~damage~block2551, Passive Skill:Shield~damage~block2552 (if these skill node is not removed in-game). Or the problem is caused by the renaming of the skill node from "Block Chance and Physical Attack Damage with Shield" . You can search the in-game skill tree to see the skill node has renamed or not and test Template:Passive skill box return correct value or not. Neokowloon (talk) 23:38, 26 March 2020 (UTC)

Only fixed the incorrect redirect to Suppressing Fire which lead to Flamethrower, corrected information. -Monstarella —Preceding unsigned comment added by Monsterella (talkcontribs) 02:20, 13 July 2020‎

It make no sense to create the Supressing Fire with the nonsense initial content [1]. If you want to make a redirect, use #REDIRECT[[(target)]]
Or more easy way, just fix the typo. Neokowloon (talk) 17:55, 13 July 2020 (UTC)

Mistook spell and the redirected to correct spell FYI. :) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Monsterella (talkcontribs)

breaking things

Could you please not introduce capitalisations where they are not appropriate. Also a lot of your edits contain incorrect grammar. Supernovah (talk) 11:12, 22 July 2020 (UTC)

If the game capitalize it , then sometimes it should be capitalized. For status icon text in the wiki (or direct quote of the dialogue, etc), they should 100% the same as in-game text, which GGG capitalize the words. While in wiki it is Chilled Ground as per in-game wording or "chilled ground" according to grammar, good to discussion the consensus. "chilled ground" are more relatively generic noun, but how about Corruption of the Awakener, should it be "corruption of the Awakener" or follow the in-game wording "Corruption of the Awakener" as treat it as proper noun? (other example like "Weight of Despair").
While for the typo and grammar, yeah i am not a native English speaker so sometimes i made mistake. Mind to fix the stockpile of outdated content like most of the map article to share the burden? Neokowloon (talk) 11:43, 22 July 2020 (UTC)
For the lab (the edit in Trial of Ascendancy). GGG call it the Merciless Labyrinth as proper noun in-game .... Neokowloon (talk) 11:50, 22 July 2020 (UTC)
With regards to capitalisations, there is a style guide that covers this. In the case of the capitalisation of that it depends upon the context of its usage. If it is used in a sentence as a noun-phrase it is appropriate to correctly capitalise it. However if it is not, then it does not require capitalisation and hence the alternate form:
[[Article Name|alternative text]]
In the case of the merciless labyrinth this is an adjective followed by a noun. The Merciless labyrinth can operate as a noun-phrase in its own article title, but otherwise it is not.
Supernovah (talk) 11:59, 22 July 2020 (UTC)
You should discuss with other editor especially admin about renaming Merciless Labyrinth (or the name of 3 other labs) to not capitalized....It affect a lot of article likes The Lord's Labyrinth. Good place to place this discussion may be Talk:The Lord's Labyrinth or Path of Exile Wiki talk:Community portal Neokowloon (talk) 12:10, 22 July 2020 (UTC)
I don't want to rename the page, the capitalisation is correct on its page. When I reference it I don't necessarily want to incorrectly capitalise it though as it looks weird and is wrong. Supernovah (talk) 12:11, 22 July 2020 (UTC)
So, you means Merciless Labyrinth is mentioned correctly in the main body of The Lord's Labyrinth, but not correct in the main body of the article for the Trial of Ascendancy??? Neokowloon (talk)

Moves

Hi, can you tell me why you moved File:Heist ember auto scout monster screenshot.png to File:Ember Auto-Scout.png?

I have maintained the proper format by adding "monster screenshot" as a postfix, so why did you change it?

I have added around 100 images, so are you planning on renaming all the images? If so, you could have told me and I would have uploaded in the correct format. Anyway, if you think its a better format I agree with you and then all the images must be renamed, otherwise it will be a mess.

Wonderfl (Reply) 15:10, 27 December 2020 (UTC)

Because you did not read the right naming convention of Template:MonsterBox.......which use png. The monster data page under "Monster" namespace use the template Template:Monster which use jpg and another naming convention.... Also you still did not add cat to it and i don't want to stalk all your pic and fix it one by one. Instead, may be calling out admin to "fix" you may be faster..... Neokowloon (talk) 15:13, 27 December 2020 (UTC)
Calling out admin to "fix" me? Is that a threat? Look I'm the first editor to add any info/pics about Heist so you should be giving me your thanks. Instead you are threatening me? I don't understand why you are behaving like this. Also, you said I did not read the "naming convention of MonsterBox" but there is no naming convention mentioned in there. Wonderfl (Reply) 15:16, 27 December 2020 (UTC)
I had told you to add cat on 25 December and apparently you never read or reply....which File:Heist firebuzz group monster screenshot.png nowhere the "correct" naming convention of either templates. Neokowloon (talk) 15:18, 27 December 2020 (UTC)
When had you told me? There is no messages on my talk page. If you wish to send a message, you should use talk pages. Secondly, you said that "monster screenshot" is incorrect, in that case you should check out Rusty_Crusher and [2] which are images uploaded by other people and all images of monsters have "monster screenshot" postfix. Thus I have followed that convention. Instead of doing whatever YOU want and accusing other editors of not following convention, perhaps you should go around and edit all such pages instead of threatening to "fix" me or any such thing. Wonderfl (Reply) 15:21, 27 December 2020 (UTC)
learn to use the wiki then.....UserProfile:Wonderfl. Neokowloon (talk) 15:23, 27 December 2020 (UTC)
As I said, there is two templates in the wiki Template:MonsterBox and Template:Monster. There is no affix for MonsterBox default, which allow the image parameter unspecified or override . While Template:Monster use the naming convention of "monster name" + monster screenshot.jpg, and due to the code, cannot override. Neokowloon (talk) 15:26, 27 December 2020 (UTC)
If there is no convention, then I am not forced to rename the monster picture. I will try to do it but its tough as there are 100 images. Wonderfl (Reply) 15:33, 27 December 2020 (UTC)
The naming convention you want for Template:MonsterBox is "the proper name of the monster in png file"....It also help other to locate the pic in Category:Monster screenshots when using the exact name. Neokowloon (talk) 15:36, 27 December 2020 (UTC)
Agreed, but wiki is saying "action throttled" if I try to rename more than 1 file in an hour. Can you contact admin to grant more rights? If not, there is no way I can fix 100 images. Wonderfl (Reply) 15:43, 27 December 2020 (UTC)

Moves for templates

Also, you have moved List of Heist Locations to List of heist locations for no apparent reason? I would prefer the "Heist Locations" as its in proper case.

Wonderfl (Reply) 15:14, 27 December 2020 (UTC)

In English grammar, why "location" is capitalised? And you should ask the admin and other community members over here Path of Exile Wiki talk:Community portal for Heist or heist . I would say heist as it is the location to carry out heist but not Heist as the league introduced even more locations that not related to carry out a heist. Neokowloon (talk) 15:16, 27 December 2020 (UTC)
So again, you have made a decision as per your OWN whims and fancy and accuse me of not following convention? Next time you should ask before renaming or moving anything as you are doing so for no apparent reason. Wonderfl (Reply) 15:22, 27 December 2020 (UTC)
It is the problem of you not reading your "talk page " . Fandom use new talk page in your profile: UserProfile:Wonderfl. For the rest of your article / list, you should move it yourself. Neokowloon (talk) 15:27, 27 December 2020 (UTC)
OK. Wonderfl (Reply) 15:32, 27 December 2020 (UTC)

Yo, I undid your latest submission! I feel really bad about it but even with Call to Arms keystone, Second Wind support WILL lower cooldown of linked Warcries. I use it all the time! :D Infinal (talk) 16:15, 20 April 2021 (UTC)
