Unleash Support is a support gem which causes the supported spell to generate Seals while not being cast. The next time the user casts the spell, the spell will consume the Seals it stored to cast the spell in rapid succession.
The gem's advanced description specifies (Spell cast time is 10% longer for each time the Spell reoccurs).
While the spell "reoccurs", your character will stand in place while playing the casting animation. Due to how this support gem functions, to achieve maximum DPS potential, casting intervals need to be timed to allow for generation for maximum Seals between casts. As increase cast speed is generally also a DPS increase, using Unleash may be detrimental in some scenarios, and the player should ensure these factors have been compared.

So if your PoB says your cast rate is 5.34, then unleash support would increase your dps by 15.56%, if you stand in place and constantly cast.
The gem shines though when you are kiting and not constantly casting or when your cast rate for a spell is a lot lower.
For a skill with 0.5 cast time, which means 2 casts per second while standing still, the relative dps increase is 41.55%, if you stand in place and constantly cast.
The maximum dps increase, when you are dodging constantly and only cast the spell when it has 3 seals, would be compared to the same amount of dodging and only casting the same spell once and dodging the same amount of time.

The reoccurrences don't cost extra mana. Which means you can get 4 casts at 3 seals, worth 2.77 casts of damage for the mana price of 1.5 casts, because of the 150% mana cost multiplier, which can increases your damage per mana spend by 85%. The mana effectiveness increase is:

Getting passive casts from this support gem, that all unleash once you get time to cast could in theory be used to stack the dps of a low number of gems that have no cooldown and that one would normally continuously cast to kill an enemy.
