Enemies after lockdown / difficulty scaling?

Do we have information on how difficulty scales? I don't play the mode much but struggling a bit on ruthless. Found a few claims on old reddit posts but maybe it's changed since then. This page doesn't say anything about how difficulty scales but heist enemies are much more difficult than equally leveled map enemies. Someone who is more familar with mode should update page, or reply here and I will. Claims I've seen:

  • Amount of enemies after lockdown is proportional to alert level before lockdown
    • (So if you need to finish quest [not caring about items] you should run to end without opening anything)
  • The enemies get more difficult the longer you spend [after lockdown] - if true does it stop getting more difficult after some time?
  • Enemies spawn infinitely - this appears true, but I've not tested if it stops - page does not say anything about infinite spawns
