Implicit Mods

I started adding the movement speed implicit mods to the body armour in italics with the the (Hidden) parenthetical clause.. I'm wondering if maybe that was a bad idea? The info absolutely needs to be displayed but should that be displayed on the item, or should there be a disclaimer at the top of the page that says something like 'Str and Str/Int armours have a hidden run speed malus of -8%, blah blah blah, unless stated otherwise'? --FaceLicker (talk) 13:49, 18 April 2013 (UTC)

I agree. I'd rather not show that information in the implicit mods. The information regarding movement speed penalties is—conveniently—located on the Movement Speed page. A brief mention of the penalty and a link to the movement speed page can be added to the Body Armour and Shield pages. —Vinifera7 (talk) 14:22, 18 April 2013 (UTC)
Sounds good to me. Movement Speed needs some fixing up though. For starters, Armour Master is now incorporated into Leather and Steel, there is no mention of Quicksilver Flasks nor is there any mention of movement speed affixes. I suppose I'll get rid of the implicits I added and then work on updating Movement Speed.--FaceLicker (talk) 14:35, 18 April 2013 (UTC)
I'm the last person who made edits to that page, and that was before open beta. So yeah, it needs some work. —Vinifera7 (talk) 15:29, 18 April 2013 (UTC)
I think this information should definitely be displayed on individual item pages. Although maybe not along with the other mods, it would be nice to be able to add it as a note. Right now there's no immediate way to check the movement speed penalty of different armours and I believe some people don't even know there is one. -AnnanFay (talk) 21:32, 9 May 2013 (UTC)
That seems completely pointless to me. It's a penalty tied to which type of armour a character is wearing. It is in no way tied to the base item itself. —Vinifera7 (talk) 22:31, 9 May 2013 (UTC)
Even so, it is useful information to have easily available. There are also some exceptions such as Assassin's Garb which has a bonus in addition to the removal of the reduction, and Glorious Plate which lacks the normal reduction. In the game data it's not tied to armour type but each item having a hidden implicit stat. -AnnanFay (talk) 22:51, 9 May 2013 (UTC)
