He was based on Voll, Emperor of Purity. Since version 3.1.0, Planus was removed as the boss of Desert Spring MapDesert Spring MapMap Level: 68

Guild Character: çAs mirage becomes reality,
hardship is briefly quenched.Travel to this Map by using it in a personal Map Device. Maps can only be used once., which Terror of the Infinite Drifts, based on Shakari, became the new boss.

He also appears in the Endless Ledge, a race league mode. However, that race did not return in recent years.
