Orb of Binding is a currency item that can be used to upgrade a normal item to a rare item with up to four linked sockets.

Mechanics

This orb can be used on most items without sockets, functioning the same way as an Orb of AlchemyOrb of AlchemyStack Size: 20Upgrades a normal item to a rare itemRight click this item then left click a normal item to apply it.
Shift click to unstack.. However, Orb of Bindings cannot be used on strongboxes.

If used on an item with more than four sockets or links, the extra sockets will be lost. Players should avoid using this currency on a 5-linked or 6-linked item in lieu of an Orb of AlchemyOrb of AlchemyStack Size: 20Upgrades a normal item to a rare itemRight click this item then left click a normal item to apply it.

The number of sockets added respects item level. ilvl 1 items are capped at 2 linked sockets, while ilvl 2 to 24 items are capped at 3 linked sockets.
