Momentum Support is a support gem. When you use the supported attack skill, it grants a stack of Momentum, granting increased attack speed per stack. Momentum is removed when you move while you have it. At five stacks, Momentum is removed to grant the Swiftness buff, which grants increased movement speed.
Duration: Modifiers to skill effect duration also apply to the duration of Swiftness granted by the skill
Minions: Minions fully benefit from Momentum support, visibly gaining swiftness upon reaching maximum momentum stacks.
Momentum stack calculation: Momentum is gained right when you start the attack, which means your first attack will have the attack speed with 1 Momentum.
For non-channelling skills, the attacks which puts you at maximum momentum stacks will have its attack speed at max momentum, despite the fact all the stacks were removed to gain Swiftness.
For channelling skills, attack speed is calculated dynamically, so when you reach maximum momentum stacks, it will have its attack speed at 0 momentum. This causes channelling skills to have its attack speed at most one under the maximum momentum stacks.[1]

Momentum Support is now purchasable from Nessa by the Ranger and Scion for completing Enemy at the Gate.
Momentum Support is now offered to the Marauder, Templar, Duelist and Shadow for completing Mercy Mission, and can be purchased from Nessa.
Momentum Support is not offered or sold to the Templar by Nessa despite the patch notes saying so.[Undocumented This change was not documented by any official sources. It was discovered through player testing or datamining.]
Supported skills now have 20% chance (from 25%) to grant Onslaught for 3 seconds (from 8 seconds) on dealing a Killing Blow at gem level 1, up to 39% chance (from 44%) to grant Onslaught for 6.8 seconds (from 8 seconds) at gem level 20.
Now gains 1% increased Attack and Cast Speed per 2% gem quality (from 1% increased Attack and Cast Speed per 4% gem quality).
