An Infused Engineer's Orb is a currency item that can be used to improve the quality of a strongbox.

Mechanics

The Infused Engineer's Orb sets the quality of any rarity strongbox to 30%, as well as adding an enchantment Guarded by 3 packs of Magic Monsters to the strongbox. The enchantment is additive along with the similar implicit and explicit mods.

Additional Outcomes

Can randomly add stacks of Alterations or a Unique Item.

• Regular: Drops double corrupted rare, double veiled rare, double corrupted Unique
• Large: Drops double corrupted rare, double veiled rare, double corrupted Unique
• Armourer: Can drop a 6-linked item, double corrupted rare, double veiled rare, double corrupted Unique
• Blacksmith: Can drop a 6-linked item, double corrupted rare, double veiled rare, double corrupted Unique
• Gemcutter: Drops a Valuable Gem (21/0, 21/0, 21/23; very rarely, Exceptional)
• Diviner: Drops 8x Stacked Decks or up to 8x a stack of divination cards.
• Cartographer: Drops a corrupted 8 mod map, Unique Map, or Guardian Maps
• Arcanist: Drops a 5x stack of currency (e.g. 5x Chaos Orbs, 5x Scouring Orbs, 5x Exalted Orbs)
• Artisan: Drops a stack of Cartographer's Chisels or Gemcutter's Prisms
• Jeweller: Drops an Atlas base

Prior to the Harvest rework in version 3.19.0, Engineer's OrbsEngineer's OrbStack Size: 20Improves the quality of a StrongboxRight click this item then left click a Strongbox to apply it. Has greater effect on lower rarity Strongboxes. The maximum quality is 20%. could be transformed into Infused Engineer's Orbs using a specific harvest crafting option that could be gained from harvesting Vivid Watchers. Infused Engineer's Orbs could also drop from Oshabi, Avatar of the Grove.

3.19.0	Lures and Infused Engineer's Orbs can no longer be obtained. Oshabi, Avatar of the Grove, no longer drops Infused Beachheads, Dedication, Gift and Tribute to the Goddess, Lures, Infused Engineer's Orbs, or Facetor's Lenses. She now has a chance to drop Crystallised Lifeforce, which can be used for a specific set of crafting options.
3.13.0	Harvest has been added to the core game and has been vastly reworked. Infused Engineer's Orbs can once again be obtained through harvest crafting.
