This is a guide on the subject of secrets and noteworthy encounters in Path of Exile.

A number of surprises and miniature versions of league mechanic encounters are scattered throughout the campaign of Wraeclast. The following is a list of encounters discovered by players. Note: the ๐Ÿ”„ symbol indicates that this encounter is repeatable, otherwise the encounter can only be triggered once per character.

Act 1 The Climb A Legion monolith spawns near the Lioneye's Standard. Always spawns as Karui vs Eternal Empire legions, same as the historical battle that Lioneye was involved. Same
Act 1 The Upper Prison A switch on the column in the hallway with the crucified skeleton opens up a hidden room containing a Chemist's Strongbox, which drops several flasks. Room is empty
Act 1 The Ship Graveyard Area contains a Pirate's Treasure Chest, which spawns The Drunken Corsair and two random Tormented Spirits. Same

๐Ÿ”„ Area contains a Breach on top of a pile of corpses in bandit camps or inside of a ruined building. Same
Act 2 The Chamber of Sins Level 2 (Act 2) Area contains a room that contains a number of random level 1 gems. Not present
Act 2 The Broken Bridge (Act 2) In the corner of one of the ruins contains three neutral rogue exiles - Orra Greengate, Ash Lessard, and Vickas Giantbone. Opening the nearby Wastrel's Jewellery Cache makes them hostile. Present, with less Rogue Exile drops. Particularly valuable in Ruthless.
Act 2 The Fellshrine Ruins (Act 2) Area contains three "Devotional Statues". After interacting with them, a version of Vorana called "The Forgotten Daughter" spawns near the entrance to The Crypt. Same
Act 2 The Vaal Ruins Area contains a Corruption Altar that functions identically to a Vaal OrbVaal OrbStack Size: 20Corrupts an item, modifying it unpredictablyRight click this item then left click an item to corrupt it. Corrupted items cannot be modified again.. Same

Area contains a Ritual encounter with a guaranteed Omen. Repeat visits feature the Ritual enemy packs, but no Altars. Same
Act 2 The Caverns ๐Ÿ”„ Area contains a hidden room containing a crafting recipe. Accessible by clicking two interactable pillars in a room roughly in the middle of the pyramid's base floor. Room instead contains an Ancient Cache, dropping various Jewellery items. Non-repeatable.

Act 4 The Dried Lake Area contains a Legion Monolith next to the Nightwane, which has increased duration and only contains the Eternal faction, alluding to Voll's Purity Rebellion. โ”
Act 5 The Reliquary (Act 5) Two random chests in the area contain Key of StrengthKey of StrengthThe true disciple brings enlightenment to heretics. and Key of DevotionKey of DevotionThe true disciple gives all that they are unto God., used to open the vault near the waypoint. The "Vault Hoard" chest inside holds some rare items and gold. โ”
