Gruthkul, Mother of Despair is a unique monster located in the Den of Despair inside The Dread Thicket in Act 7.

Mechanics

Gruthkul uses the following skills:

• Gruthkul's Despair - Debuff applied continuously inside the boss arena. Increases damage taken, reduces action speed and light radius. Stacks with each 10% life lost.
• Roar - Channels and fires 5 physical projectiles from random positions and adds another projectile per 25% life lost.
• Slam - Gruthkul rears and then slams the ground in front with the forelegs.
• Upheaval - Upheave the ground beneath the character, dealing physical damage over time.
  • Weight of Despair - Upheavel creates a ground effect that applies this debuff. Deals physical damage over time and reduces movement speed.
