locked in stone for eternity.Socket this into a Citadel on your Atlas to increase the Tier of Maps and reveal hidden Maps in that Citadel's Region. You can only socket one Crimson, Viridian, Cobalt or Golden Watchstone into each Citadel.

Crimson Watchstone is a watchstone.

In item filter (and the text copied in-game by using Control + C keybind in PC), it belongs to Atlas Region Upgrade Item item class, despite GGG declared it belongs to Quest Items item class.

It has the green border in-game, just like other quest item , and cannot be traded.
