Atlas Passive Skill Tree (Ruthless)

In Ruthless mode, the Atlas Passive Skill Tree has received some changes. The layout is exactly the same, but most passives have reduced or alternate effects.

List of modified Atlas passive skills

General

  • Adjacent Map Drop Chance passives are replaced with Map Drop Chance, granting 1% increased Maps found in your Maps.
  • Map Drop Duplication passives are replaced with Map Rarity, granting 3% increased Rarity of Maps found in your Maps.
  • Item Quantity passives in the center wheel grants 1% increased pack size instead.
  • Map Modifier Effect at the top of the tree grant 2% chance to find Maps one tier higher instead.
  • Most passives which grant +#% chance for Extra Content to appear grant #% increased chance of Extra Content appearing instead. For details on extra content spawn mechanics, see Ruthless mode § Masters and league content mechanics
    • Small passives that grant 1% chance now grant 50% increase chance instead.
    • Notable passives that grant 4% chance now grant 125% increase chance instead.
  • All notables that prevent an Extra Content from appearing do not grant +2% chance of other Extra Content appearing.

Maps

  • Shaping the Mountains: Does not grant free map crafting options. Adds +15% physical damage reduction, +15% elemental resistance, and +10% chaos resistance to monsters. Chance reduced to 8%.
  • Shaping the Skies: Does not grant special map crafting options. Adds 15% of physical damage as extra lightning damage to monsters. Chance reduced to 8%.
  • Shaping the World: Does not grant connected map drop chance from bosses. Adds 15% of physical damage as extra cold damage to monsters. Chance reduced to 8%.

Guardians & bosses

  • Vivid Memories: Chance for bosses to drop a Synthesis map reduced to +1% (from +2%).
  • Remnants of the Past: Chance for bosses to drop a Shaper or Elder Guardian map reduced to 1% (from 3%).
  • Conquered Conquerers: Grants "Map Bosses have 35% increased chance to drop a Conqueror Map" (from 100%).

Masters

Bestiary

  • Eternal Hunt: grants 100% increased chance to encounter Einhar instead.
  • Bestiary Mission Chance: grants 100% increased chance to encounter Einhar.
  • Big Game: Chance of Yellow Beasts being replaced with Red Beasts reduced to 5%.
  • Great Migration: Chance of maps to contain additional packs of beasts reduced to 5%.
  • Two-Hearted Hunt: Does not provide "Red Beasts in your Maps have an additional Bestiary Modifier".
  • Deadly Prey: Chance for Red Beasts to break free reduced to 25% (from 50%).

Betrayal

  • Obsessed with Vengeance : provides 100% increased chance to encounter Jun instead.
  • Betrayal Mission Chance: grants 40% increased chance to encounter Jun.
  • Bribery: Grants 800% increased rarity to items dropped by Syndicate members instead.
  • Effective Leadership: Syndicate leaders do not drop an additional Veiled item.
  • Test of Loyalty: Chance of Syndicate member gaining an additional rank when Executed decreased to 50% (from 100%).
  • Intelligence Gathering: Grants 2 Intelligence to a random Syndicate division on map completion (from 10 Intelligence).
  • Pillage and Plunder: Grants 10% more Rarity of items from Defeated Syndicate Members in your Maps per Equipment Item they have instead.

Delve

Incursion

Kirac

  • Planar Tactician: Grants a chance for Scouting Reports to drop as a Vaal Scouting Report instead.
  • Solidarity: Grants a chance for Scouting Reports to drop as a Singular Scouting Report instead.
  • Expert Reconaissance: Chance of finding Scouting Reports reduced to 50%.
  • Expect the Unexpected: Grants 30% increased Rarity of Maps found in your Maps instead.
  • Commissioned Officer: Does not grant an additional Kirac mission daily. Chance to gain a Kirac mission on map completion reduced to 2%.
  • Kirac Mission Chance grants 4% increased Atlas Scouting Reports found in your Maps instead.

League mechanics

Abyss

  • Ancient Conflict: Grants a 5% chance to spawn 5 Rare monsters from Abysses instead.
  • Awakened Depths: Increased chance of Abysses leading to an Abyssal Depths reduced to 50%.
  • Votive Hoard: Grants 800% increased item rarity to items dropped by Abyssal Troves and Stygian Spires instead.
  • Corrupted Gaze: Corrupted Abyss Jewels do not come with 5 or 6 affixes.
  • Darkness Rising: Grants an 8% chance for Abyss pits and crack to spawn 100% increased monsters instead.
  • Underground Kingdom: Grants "Your Maps have 100% increased chance to contain an Abyss" instead.
  • Abyss Chance grants "Your Maps have 40% increased chance to contain an Abyss" instead.

Ambush

  • Twice Tempted: Grants +10% chance for a zone to contain a Strongbox (from guaranteed adding one Strongbox).
  • Secret Operations: Grants a 10% chance for Strongboxes to be able to be opened again instead.
  • Tamper-Proof: Strongboxes are Magic instead of Rare.

Anarchy

  • Rogue Trader: Grants 800% increased rarity of items dropped by Rogue Exiles instead of adding an additional reward. Preceding minor nodes grant +1% chance of adding a Rogue Exile instead.
  • Royal Guard: Chance of bosses being accompanied by Rogue Exile bodyguards reduced to 5%.
  • Exiled Will: Chance of Rogue Exiles being Possessed reduced to 25% (from 100%).
  • Ruckus: Chance to add 10 additional Rogue Exiles reduced to 2%.

Beyond

  • Scent of Blood: chance for your Maps to attract Beyond Demons reduced to 8% (from 24%).
  • Four of the small Beyond Chance Atlas Passives in the Scent of Blood cluster instead grant "Beyond Demons in your Maps grant 5% increased Experience".
  • Beyond Chance grants "1% chance for your Maps to attract Beyond Demons".
  • Swarming Hive: No chance for more divination cards from Demon Scourge monsters.
  • Pale Clarion: No chance for more basic currency from Pale Scourge monsters.
  • Voracious Throng: No chance for more unique items from Flesh Scourge monsters.
  • Preceding minor nodes for the above 3 notables decreased to 3% increased Quantity of Items dropped by Beyond Demons in your Maps.
  • The entry small passives in the Fiendish Opulence and Demonic Power cluster provides "Beyond Demons in your Maps grant 5% increased Experience".

Blight

  • Spores in the Wind: Grants 100% increased chance for a Blight encounter to appear instead.
  • Blight Encounter Chance grants 20% increased chance for a Blight encounter to appear.
  • Fungal Bloom: Grants 100% increased chance for a Blight encounter to appear instead.
  • Blight Encounter Chance grants 40% increased chance for a Blight encounter to appear instead.
  • Epidemiology: Does not add Lucky reward chests. Chance to contain a Blighted Map reduced to 50%.
  • Mycelian Swarm: Grants a 20% chance to add an additional reward chest instead. Preceding small passives grant 3% more non-unique Blight monsters instead.
  • Blight Pack Size and Chance grants 20% increased chance for a Blight encounter to appear instead and 2% chance to spawn more Blight non-unique monsters (from 4%).
  • Distilled Fungus: Bosses do not drop an additional anointed jewelry item.
  • Blightspawn: Does not add a chance to drop an Oil ExtractorOil ExtractorStack Size: 10Destroys an Anointed Item to recover one of the Oils that was used to apply that AnointmentRight click this item then left click an Anointed item to destroy it..

Breach

  • Probing for Weakness: grants 100% increased chance for a Breach encounter to appear instead.
  • Breach Chance: grants 40% increased chance for a Breach encounter to appear.
  • Breach Magic Monsters and Chance: grants 20% increased chance for a Breach encounter to appear instead and increases Magic monsters in your breaches by 2% (from 4%).
  • Gatekeepers: Does not grant Breach bosses a chance to drop double splinters. Chance to spawn a Breach boss increased to 50%.
  • Within Their Grasp: Does not grant Breach bosses a chance to drop Flawless Breachstones.
  • Eve of Invasion: Only grants 2% chance to add 10 additional Breaches.
  • Otherworldly Artefacts: Does not grant increased chance for Breach unique items to drop.

Domination

  • Supplication: Grants +10% chance for a zone to contain a Shrine (from guaranteed adding one Shrine).
  • Syncretism: Does not causes Shrines to grant a random additional Shrine effect. Shrine buff effect increased to 50%.

Delirium

  • That Which You Seek: provides 100% increased chance for a Mirror of Delirium to appear instead.
  • Pathological: provides 100% increased chance for a Mirror of Delirium to appear instead.
  • Delirium Chance: grants 40% increased chance for a Mirror Delirium to appear.
  • Descent into Madness : Delirium increases 50% faster with distance from the mirror (from 100% faster).
  • Paranoid Fixation: Grants 25% increased pack size of Delirium monsters instead.
  • Imagined Pursuits: Grants a 10% chance for Cluster Jewels from Delirium rewards to drop rare and corrupted instead.

Essence

  • Crystal Resonance: grants "A Map Boss is granted a random Essence Modifier from any Imprisoned Monsters slain in your Maps" instead.
  • Prolific Essence: Grants +8% chance for a zone to contain an Essence (from guaranteed adding one Essence).
  • Crystal Lattice: Chance to add 3 additional Essences reduced to 5%.
  • Crystal Resonance: Duplicates Essence monsters with at least four Essences instead.
  • Amplified Energies: Chance for Essences to be a tier higher reduced to 25% (from 100%).

Expedition

  • The Hunt for Answers: provides 100% increased chance for an Expedition encounter to appear instead.
  • Expedition Chance: grants 40% increased chance for an Expedition encounter to appear.
  • Ancient Writings: Does not have an additional chance to add a suffix to Remnants.
  • Buried Knowledge: Increased quantity of Expedition Logbooks dropped reduced to 20% (from 50%).

Harbinger

  • Omnious Presence: Grants +8% chance for a zone to contain a Harbinger (from guaranteed adding one Harbinger).
  • First Wave: Chance to add a powerful Harbinger boss reduced to 10% (from 25%).

Harvest

Heist

Legion

  • Constant Battle: provides 100% increased chance for a Legion encounter to appear.
  • Legion Monolith Chance: grants 40% increased chance for a Legion encounter to appear.
  • Chain of Command: Legion Sergeants do not gain an additional chance to contain an additional reward.
  • Emblematic: Chance of splinters dropping as emblems reduced to 0.5%. Preceding minor nodes grant 10% chance for splinters to be duplicated instead.
  • Logistical Support: Grants increased pack size of Legion monsters instead.
  • Pillaged Treasures: Grants increased range to Legion chests releasing nearby Legion monsters and chests when broken instead.
  • Face Off: Does not grant more chance to spawn a Legion general.
  • War Supplies. Does not grant increased range to Legion chests releasing nearby Legion monsters and chests when broken.

Ritual

  • Sacred Lands: provides 100% increased chance for a Ritual encounter to appear instead.
  • Ritual Chance: grants 40% increased chance a Ritual encounter to appear.
  • Sacrificial Due: Chance for the final Ritual Altar to drop a Blood-Filled Vessel reduced to 10%.

Torment

  • Seance: Maps have a 10% chance for up to five Rare monsters to be Possessed (from guaranteed chance). Preceding minor nodes grant additional chance for maps to contain a Tormented Spirit instead.
  • Unrelenting Torment: Possessed monsters do not have more Quantity to item drops.
  • Paranormal Meeting: Your Maps have +10% chance to be haunted by a Tormented Spirit instead.

Ultimatum

  • Face the Ultimatum: provides 100% increased chance for an Ultimatum encounter to appear instead.
  • Ultimatum Chance: grants 40% increased chance an Ultimatum encounter to appear.
  • Face the Ultimatum: Grants 100% increased chance to contain an Ultimatum Encounter instead. Preceding minor nodes grant 50% increased chance instead.
  • Protect The Altar: No increased Life for Ultimatum Altars.
  • Slaughter Them All: No reduction to required number of killed enemies.
  • Survive The Assault: No reduced survival duration.
  • Conquer The Stones: No increased radius for Stone Circles.
  • Prove Yourself Worthy: Grants 10% chance to duplicate Ultimatum rewards instead. Preceding minor nodes grant 5% increased Experience from Ultimatum monsters instead.
  • Minor nodes preceding Stand Your Ground: Ultimatum Encounters in your Maps to spawn 5% increased number of Monsters.
  • Worthy of the Past: Only grants 50% increased chance for Ultimatum Rewards to be jewellery.
  • Worthy of the Present: Only grants 50% increased chance for Ultimatum Rewards to be currency.
  • Worthy of the Future: Only grants 50% increased chance for Ultimatum Rewards to be gems.
  • Brave The Tower: Only grants 50% increased chance for final round to include a boss. Minor preceding nodes grant 50% increased chance to contain an Ultimatum Encounter instead.

Other

  • Small passives which grants additional chance to spawn a Vaal Side Area instead grant chance for items in maps to drop corrupted.
  • For Love of the Queen: Grants a chance for items dropped by Unique monsters to be corrupted instead.
  • Unimaginable Horrors: Grants a chance for items dropped by Rare monsters to be corrupted instead.
  • Trial of Glory: Does not add a chance for a Trial of Ascendancy to contain an improved Offering to the Goddess.
  • Chittering Champions: Grants "Final Map Boss in each Map has 10% chance to drop an additional Scarab" (from 25%).

Keystones

  • Shadow Shaping: Does not grant chance to find maps with a special implicit per favoured map.
  • Singular Focus: Does not convert non-favoured map drops into basic currency. Increased chance of favoured maps dropping reduced to 100%.
  • Destructive Play: The Maven has a 20% chance to summon 1 to 3 additional Bosses when Witnessing Map Bosses instead.
  • Bold Undertakings: Grants "Maps have an extra random Prefix and Suffix while six Gateways are Allocated" instead.
  • Lucid Dreams: Causes the final map boss to have a 50% chance to drop Vaal items instead of adjacent maps (from 100%).
  • Overloaded Circuits: Causes all maps to allocate five random notable Atlas passives instead.
  • Unwavering Vision: Grants 10 atlas passive skill points (from 20).

  • The 4 small Atlas Passive Skills in the new Beyond cluster each grant 3% increased Quantity of Items dropped by Beyond Demons in your Maps in Ruthless (5% in non-Ruthless).

We've increased the base drop chance for Maps in Ruthless, and changed these Atlas Passive so they now provide Maps found have 8% chance to be 1 tier higher (previously 10%).
  • The Otherworldly Artefacts Notable Atlas Passive in Ruthless now provides "Breaches in your Maps have 20% increased Monster density", instead of "Rare Breach Monsters in your Maps have 0.2% chance to drop an additional Breach Blessing".
