Modifiers

Area of effect: The on-kill effect has a range of 2 meters. Modifiers to area of effect do not affect this.

Duration: New ignites are not inflicted with a fresh duration, but with the remaining duration of the copied ignite instead.

Explosions: While the on-kill effect does not strictly require enemies to become corpses, it is prevented by most explosion effects.

Proxies and minions: Because kills by ignite are always credited to the player, it's possible for the on-kill effect to spread ignite inflicted by proxies such as totems, and even by minions. As these ignites have a dps value equivalent to the original ignite, they may deal damage regardless of Ancestral Bond.
