Boneshatter is a melee attack skill that strikes enemies forcefully and also hurts you. Successive uses will raise the damage dealt both to enemies and you. Stunning an enemy with the strike releases a damaging pulse.

Boneshatter can be used with a Mace, Sceptre, Axe or Staff.

Skill functions and interactions

Hitting an enemy with Boneshatter will grant you a Trauma stack, giving you more damage (2% to 4%) with the skill. However, you will also take Physical Damage per Trauma stack.

With a level 20 gem and N current Trauma stacks, you will take 194*(N+1) physical damage (before damage mitigation) upon your next attack.

Damage conversions do not affect self-damage type. However, modifiers like #% of Physical Damage from Hits taken as Fire Damage will convert the taken damage equal to the %. Trauma has no crit roll, and can only crit you if hits you take always crit you.[1][2]
